Climate advocacy & engagement
We believe a movement toward a global climate mindset will take all of us participating in restructuring the way the world works. Staying active in the community by attending and hosting meetups and networking events, writing blogs, supporting action and activists, and resourcing new projects is part of the change Popcorn aims to make and inspire in others.
Ventures
Popcorn helped to create oDocs Eye Care, a social enterprise addressing blindness in developing regions by providing low-cost retinal eye exams and other diagnostic tools leveraging smartphone technology.
oDocs was powered by utilising Auckland based talent in design and development. Through Popcorn it employed a powerful equity share framework that leveraged funding to the max. oDocs won an international award in 2016 for the Best Startup in Social Impact.
