In early 2017, Wine Grenade made contact to ask some advice on product planning and operational growth. They were embarking on scaling their production from a handful of units to several hundred a year, having raised some capital and looking to deliver on milestones. The development had been handled by two senior engineers, but they were looking to hire and train production staff, make design improvements, and work with their supply chain to improve quality and efficiency.

We came in at that time with a service in engineering management to help them to execute to that end. From establishing a new facility, advising and training staff hires, drafting procedures and systems for lean manufacturing, supplier quality, and many other technical aspects, the organisation’s engineering department developed and matured significantly.

There were many technical hurdles and startup challenges to overcome over three years. We assisted the founding team with several of their accomplishments including de-risking their supply chain, installing a quality control process, training younger engineers, and with the CE approvals process. We enjoyed working with their management team and wish Wine Grenade the best on their next tier of growth as Accuro.
